A wintery start to this week! We have loved seeing the pictures of you out in the snow and building snowmen.
Lots of brilliant learning being sent in also. We started this week by revisiting imperative verbs in English ready to write our own instructions for Om over the next few days. Both year 3 and year 4 have been recapping division in Maths this week as it was something we were finding tricky last week.

As part of our Survival Project we have been learning about Earthquakes and have begun a double page spread. The children have used their DT knowledge and skills to design a shelter. Daisy, Matthew Jess and Eden have submitted their designs and Eden tested her shelter for wind and rain. For our Co Joe's mission the children had to design a container for transporting water. Amy did a great job. We love the fact that so many of the children are joining in the live lessons and are proud all the Kestrels and Owls who are working hard.
We have continued doing amazing learning in Swallows and Magpies this week. Almost all the children have joined in with Live Lessons and we have loved seeing the learning you have been sending over.
Another amazing start to the week in year 3 and 4. There has been lots of brilliant learning going on both in school and at home. Here is a selection of work we have received over the last few days. Click on the photo to read more about it.
We are a very creative in Fledglings, Kingfishers and Cuckoos. Look at the wonderful project work. Mea enjoyed the winter tree so much she has created trees to represent other seasons. Franek created his own art gallery! The maths learning has been amazing! We have been exploring shapes, completing missing number problems, creating patterns and exploring shape. Lots of you haev used the maths games on Purple Mash - keep going, we love seeing what you have been doing.
There has been lots of literacy work going on. Cuckoos and Kingfishers have been writing speech and thought bubbles. Sophie has written a book review for Miss Gascoigne. Bobby and Layla created 'Lost' posters for the penguin in the book 'Lost and Found' by Oliver Jeffers. We have been exp0loring vocabulary, creating our own dictionaries and thinking about what we would need in a cold environment. We have been having a go at our red words, practising phonics, blending and letter formation.
We have also been active, looking at gymnastics routines. Bobby has been learning to play the keyboard!
What a fantastic learning week from Magpies and Swallows. It has been lovely seeing so many smiling face during our live sessions and chatting to so many of you finding out about you amazing learning. Here are some pictures of your amazing learning. Please keep the coming in we loved to see them. We have been really busy in Owl's and Kestrels. Jessica Foster, Amy and Scarlet have sent thought some great ideas on our PHSE topic of 'Being My Best'. We can see you have really thought about this. Some children took part in a remote art session with Mrs Thompson. It was great to have that opportunity to be together for an activity, some people in school and some people at home. The children have been creating Volcano pictures. The children in school using chalk, Matthew has been investigating with blow pens to create his work. We have really been engaged in our maths and literacy tasks. Brody has done a great diary entry in response to a survival story.
We have really enjoyed working on our creative project. Look at all these trees representing the seasons. Elise made her own 'Lost and Found' scene. Harry used Purple Mash to create a winter sceene. We have enjoyed our phonics sessions, writing our own stories and having a go at writing definitions. Taqi and Paddy had a go at creating a picture in Purple Mash and choosing words to create a sentence. We have really engaged in our maths. Kingfishers, Fledglings and Cuckoo's have been measuring. We have also done some independent maths work, creating shape pictures and ordering numbers. Bobby has been investigating capacity. Paddy used Purple Mash to work counting in 2,5 and 10's. Amazing work, Paddy! Look at this great great Maths work from Zidan and Imaan!
We have been keeping healthy and active, using Joe Wicks and Go Noodle. Layla has been cooking and Zidan and Imaan have been out walking lots. Layla and Reeve have been investigating Purple Mash. Reeve has been exploring shapes and Layla has been investing nets. Paddy, Taqi and Mollie used Purple Mash to create a poster abotu hand washing for their PHSE session.
A great start to this week from our fantastic learners in Magpies and Swallows. Mrs. Lee and Mrs. Smith have been impressed with everyone’s efforts to learn in different ways.
