Welcome to RobinsRobins are small familiar garden birds, best known for their bright orange-red breast. In Robin class we are kind to others and always try our best.
In year 2, we love discovering new things and taking on new learning challenges. Our learning journey this year begins with our project 'Home Sweet Home' which links science, geogrpahy, RE, art, PSHE, computing and dance. Next, we are going to be learning all about different ways that people used to keep in touch and how we keep in touch now. During the Spring term, our focus is all about lights and religious celebrations, before we move onto looking at plants and the Easter story. Our final topics for the year are based around the anglo-saxons and a whole school art project to finish the year. |
In Robins, we think about our learning behaviour and consider our choices carefully. We learn from our mistakes and support each other. We collect house points and stars in the jar for making the right choices and together we have chosen our rewards:
We look forward to sharing our learning with you so come back to this page to find our home learning, photos and other exciting news throughout the year.

Our teacher - Miss WeberI am very excited to be teaching year 2 this year, and look forward to creating a thriving and welcoming learning environment in our Robins class. I look forward to exploring the world with the children through our exciting projects this year as well as our school trips. One of my favourite subjects to teach is Maths, and I can't wait to start breaking down and discovering number bonds with the Robins. On the weekends, you will often find me spending time outdoors, swimming in hopefully not too cold lakes or baking gluten free and vegan cakes. |

OUR CLASS BOOKS FOCUS
This term our class books will be all linked to our project 'Light Celebrations' with lots of them being all about the importance of light and how light is created. We will read a variety of books, both fiction and non-fiiction allowing us to become light experts by learning all about light sources, lights experiments, shadows and shadow puppets. |
